Meet Ginny Orenstein
Hi! I’m Ginny and let me tell you a little about myself. I have been through it. For over a decade, I was sick and doctors couldn’t find out what was wrong with me. I had symptoms that would come and go over the years. These symptoms became increasingly worse until I was bedridden for two and half years, on chemo injections, high doses of prednisone, pain killers, and having almost died a handful of times and being on blood transfusions. I had a mini stroke without knowing. I had two brain tumors and rheumatoid arthritis in my chest and spine. I was diagnosed with severe systemic lupus erythematosus. I was told that I would never be able to have children. I was told that I would have a short life span. I was told to quit my profession as a professional musician and teacher. I had to give up my dream of being a music professor in higher education because of how my illnesses injured my body. Life for me seemed incredibly hopeless.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I think because I witnessed how my father lived his life with grit and resilience through his Parkinson’s disease, that made me work at recovering from all my illnesses. I refused to give up. I did everything in my daily life to educate, research and find what helped me to get better. So many things worked and so many things didn’t work. I share all of that in my first book. The most important part of this whole recovery journey is how I came to become aware. This is something that I share in my second book. This is something that I work on with my clients. This is something that I help my clients with so that they can recover. I never aspired to become a wellness coach/teacher, meditation teacher, reiki and breathwork facilitator. I would say that on my road to recovery, all of these things defined who I would become. I also never aspired to be a writer and yet, the research and experience had to be shared. So, I wrote the book. I help people to become aware. I know that my book and research is not for everyone. It’s not meant to be but it’s meant for the person who needs it.

My Intention
My intentions are pure. I’m not doing this for recognition or to tell you I have all the answers. I don’t have all the answers. I am not a psychic. I am not a medium. I do not believe in the “woo woo” spiritual nonsense out there. I do not believe in gurus. I don’t believe in anyone who says they have all the answers or even close to it. My intention is to be honest and completely transparent. There was a time in my life when being honest and transparent was the farthest thing and I lived to be a people pleaser. I lived in fear of what other people thought and that dictated a lot of what I did which hurt and caused pain to others and myself and I was unaware of this. I recognize the person I used to be and I am aware that I cannot be that person. That is what recovery does which recognizes the importance of awareness.
What To Expect From Me
I am not a medical professional nor am I a medical doctor. I am not a licensed therapist. I am not a naturopathic doctor. I am not a certified nutritionist. I have education and certifications in plant medicine, nutrition, reiki, breathwork, and meditation. You could think of me as the wellness coach or teacher that relies on your medical doctor or team of medical doctors. They are the ones who approve the plant medicine and nutrition for you. Think of me as just a teacher who is working with your team of medical doctors to help with your recovery. It is my job to do the research and to put your safety first above everything else. Your team of doctors are the ones who are making the final decision when it comes to your health. So, if you are using my book or working with me on the program, it is a requirement that you are working with your medical doctors.
I am here to bring awareness to certain plant medicines and scientific research and to highlight that the medical system needs to regularly test for pathogens as the root cause for certain illnesses, diseases, and symptoms. I am here to bring awareness to help those in their own recovery.
